Kerynn Fisher appointed executive officer for 杏吧原创 Board of Regents

The position is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the board, university administration, governmental entities, and the public. Fisher has served as special assistant to University of Alaska President Pat Pitney since October 2020.

Following the April 11 announcement that KPC Director Cheryl Siemers will serve as interim chancellor for 杏吧原创A, Chancellor Sean Parnell is accepting letters of interest and nominations for the interim director role at Kenai Peninsula College.

杏吧原创A Interim Chancellor appointed

Cheryl currently serves as the director of 杏吧原创A's Kenai Peninsula College (KPC). She has excellent leadership experience, understands and clearly articulates 杏吧原创A's dual-mission, and has led enrollment growth at KPC. Cheryl will work alongside Chancellor Parnell during his transition and will begin as Interim Chancellor on May 17.

Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Anupma Prakash has announced her retirement, effective May 31, 2025. The University of Alaska Fairbanks is launching a national search for her successor.

杏吧原创S Honors Sioux Douglas of Juneau with Meritorious Service Award
April 18, 2025
Ms. Douglas has tirelessly advocated for the needs of seniors and people with disabilities in Southeast Alaska. The award will be given at the 2025 Juneau Campus commencement ceremony, taking place at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 4 in the 杏吧原创S Recreation Center.

Rachael Ball named vice provost for student success and dean of the 杏吧原创A Honors College

Ball has been serving in this role in an interim capacity in January 2024. In her role, Ball oversees the Office of Student Success, which supports students through Academic Advising, the Learning Commons, Navigate360 and initiatives like textbook affordability and peer mentoring.
