2024 - 2029 "Interface of Change" asks how changes in Gulf of Alaska coastal ecosystems affect marine species of cultural and economic importance, like kelp and salmon, and in turn the well-being of people living in Gulf of Alaska communities.

The Alaska EPSCoR Interface of Change project is accepting applications for travel funding of up to $2,500 for domestic travel to present at a conference or attend a training this spring. Students, staff, or faculty from any Alaska institution of higher education are eligible to apply. Applications are open now - apply by 5 p.m. AKDT, April 18, 2025!

Alaska EPSCoR is now accepting applications for Interface of Change seed awards to fund research, student research, education and broadening participation. The deadline to apply for all three seed award solicitations is 5 p.m. AKDT, May 30, 2025. An informational webinar on the application process will take place at 12 p.m. AKDT on April 22, 2025.

The Alaska Science Olympiad competition for students in grades 6-8 will convene March 28-29 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
